Demi Mitchell has shed her De'May moniker and is about to embark on the next chapter of her musical career.

The sultry singer-songwriter, with her dark and dreamy melodies, is preparing to release her debut record under her birth name. Shifting to a rockier sound, Mitchell will be in full band mode when she returns to Dashville for this year's Skyline, accompanied by Brennan Fell, Alex Quayle and Jason Lowe.

Recorded in Melbourne with Roger Bergodaz, who's worked with Lost Ragas, Tex Perkins and Raised by Eagles, Mitchell's new record combines the shimmering noise of Crazy Horse with the aching melancholy of Karen Dalton.
