Since her solo performance at last year's inaugural Dashville Skyline, Melody Pool has released what may prove the best Australian record of the year.

The Kurri Kurri songwriter, now based in Melbourne, will make a triumphant return to Dashville again in 2016, this time accompanied by her full seven-piece band.

Pool had already performed alongside The Eagles, Marlon Williams and The Milk Carton Kids before the release of her dark, elegant sophomore release, Deep Dark Savage Heart. But there is no doubt the new record has cemented her as one of the country's burgeoning music stars.

"Remember when singer songwriters actually had something to say and didn’t fear losing followers on social media? Meet Melbourne via Kurri Kurri musician Melody Pool. Her filter is busted, if it was ever functioning, and it’s positively glorious." FOUR STARS,

"In short, the Hunter Valley singer's second album delivers with thumping conviction on the promise of track two, 'Old Enough'. Gone is the country gal of 2013's The Hurting Scene, as she stares down a world of darkness with a crushing mix of vulnerability and defiance." FOUR STARS, Rolling Stone.
