Newcastle songwriter and musician Nicholas Connors made his mark on the music scene in 2017, releasing his debut EP True Love and delivering a barnstorming live show at Dashville Skyline.
Connors also joined us in January for our Dashville on the Road tour, heading to Tamworth, Nundle, Bellingen and Port Macquarie. He also supported the big man, William Crighton. Throughout February and March you might catch him supporting another of our faves, Papa Pilko and the Binrats.
Flagging the likes of The Velvet Underground, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and The Gun Club as key influences, the young crooner’s blues rock’n’roll is unpolished and unrepentant.
An alluring and enigmatic performer with a baritone voice, his live band bids a rally of vigour and charm, while lyrically he deals with life, longing and the disfigurements of society.
Connors is back for Gum Ball 2018 - grab a whiskey and hold on to your hat.
