Each year at PigSty in July we get a few burgeoning stars of the comedy circuit to entertain between bands, adding laughs and lowbrow gags to festivities.

MATTY B

Matty B returns to PigSty in July in 2016.

A hit at our previous events, "The Philosophical Bogan" is a Newcastle-bred comedian rising up the ranks of Australian comedy as he forges a reputation as a brilliant joke writer and unique performer.

He has released a successful debut album, performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival and The Adelaide Fringe Festival, as well as becoming a staple on the the national club circuit, headlining and hosting across the country.

His most recent show, Flanno Worries, received critical acclaim and has been described as "uniquely esoteric" and "brilliant alternative art expertly performed".

Over the past five years, Marty Bright has taken his unique brand of physical and observational comedy across Australia.

He has appeared in the Sydney Comedy Festival: Breakout Showcase, FRESH and Sydney Comedy Festival Roadshow.

The show he performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2016 received 4 stars.

Bright also took his hilarious show over to North America, appearing at LA's Comedy Store, New York's Carolines Comedy Club and the Montreal Comedy Works.

Bright's sure to give you more than a chuckle or two during PigSty's festivities.

Daniel Muggleton

Daniel Muggleton is one of the rising stars of Australian comedy.

He's performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe and makes his debut at The Edinburgh Fringe later this year.

Although he was selected as a FRESH Artist at the 2014 and 2015 Sydney Comedy Festival - "he is now stale".

Outside of festivals he's the resident host of Treehouse Comedy and Eveleigh Comedy in Sydney.

He's also written for A Rational Fear (FBi) and can be seen occasionally on The Checkout (ABC) and The Feed (SBS2).
